Emergency First Aid at Work

Know the difference between Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW)

Emergency First Aid at Work

As per Health and Safety (First- Aid) Regulations 1981, employers need to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and training to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or fall ill at the workplace.

If you are a business owner, then you must know that by law you need to make sure you have appropriate first aid provision in place. The HSE must provide risk assessment checklists and guidance to determine the number of employees that would need first aid training.

Both First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work are popular courses.

A question that comes up is both courses benefit the workplace, but ‘What’s the difference between first aid and emergency first aid?’

In this article, we explore both first aid courses and find out which course does your workplace require!
