This course is suitable for new entrants or other security personnel who would like to widen their skills and be eligible to apply for a SIA Licence to work as a door supervisor within Private Security Industry. Once you have gained this qualification you would be able to work as a Door Supervisor in the UK and your employment chances will increase. This course is delivered by distance learning at your own pace with an Assessor/Tutor’s Support & Guidance. You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. The course is delivered online through our e-portfolio system. You will be given access to learning material and learning outcomes which will guide you on what you need to do for each unit.
We deliver this course in classroom based environment only. It is 6 days course including first Aid qualification. Learners must attend all 6 days to gain this qualifcation.
There is no formal examination for this course, however learners are required to submit the portfolio. The course is assessed by your portfolio which demonstrates Learner’s knowledge against each of the assessment criteria of the course. Note: to achieve this qualification learners are not required to be working in Schools or find any placement in schools.
The Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification will give you an understanding into the roles, responsibilities of those involved in supporting teaching and learning in schools, and provide an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to do this effectively. The learners are required to complete 4 mandatory units:
Learners must be 16 + to register on to this qualification. However, there is no formal requirement for this course as long as the candidate has basic functional skills (Numeracy, Literacy and ICT). You will also have to provide us with your Photo Identification such as Passport or Full UK driving Licence and Proof of Address of last 3 months.
Successful candidates will receive a Level 2 Award in Door Supervision certificate from an awarding body within England and Wales who are currently recognised by Ofqual and Department for Education and Skills.
