Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment qualification has been designed for individuals who want to work as Assessors and assess occupational competence in working environment only. Achieving this Award will provide sufficient evidence that the learner has acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to work as an Assessor.
What you will learn:
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment qualification will give you an understanding into the roles, responsibilities of those involved in assessing competence based qualification in working environment. The learners are required to complete 11 mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
- Unit 2: Assess occupational competence in the work environment
This course is delivered by distance learning at your own pace with a Assessor/Tutor's Support & Guidance. You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. The course is delivered online through our e-portfolio system. You will be given access to learning material and learning outcomes which will guide you on what you need to do for each unit.
There is no formal requirement for this course as long as the candidate has basic functional skills (Numeracy, Literacy and ICT). You will also have to provide us with your Photo Identification such as Passport or Full UK driving Licence and Proof of Address of last 3 months.
How long is the course?
Learners can enrol on to the course any time and complete within 3 months or less. This course is based on self study so the learner can complete the course as quickly as they prefer.
There is no formal examination for this course, however learners are required to submit the portfolio. The unit 1 of the course is assessed by e-portfolio which demonstrates Learner's knowledge against each of the assessment criteria of the course. Unit 2 will be assessed by learner practically assessing learner's in working environment. Some portfolio evidence will need to be witnessed by a competent person in the workplace.
